Have you heard the latest news from Pantone? They’ve released their 2012 Color of the Year – Tangerine Tango. As you can see in the image above, it is a bright reddish orange that Pantone says “marries the vivaciousness and adrenaline rush of red with the friendliness and warmth of yellow, to form a high-visibility, magnetic hue that emanates heat and energy.”

The first anniversary issue of Adore Home was published yesterday – have you checked it out?

Although it is an Australian-based magazine, the anniversary issue contains all things New York. One of the features includes a New York City apartment decorated by the The Decorista, of which the dining area is showcased on the cover.

What we’re most excited about at Inmod is that gold base on the Tulip Table! The glitz and glam the  gold brings to the modern classic table is so effective and lovely, in my opinion.

What’s your take on the gold Tulip Table? Do you love it or would you choose a different color?

A few months ago, this kitchen was posted on re-nest. The two silver doors you see are chutes that lead to recycling and garbage cans, presumably in the garage.

Personally, I think this is a great idea and would love the convenience this would provide, the space it would fill up in the kitchen without the need for a large garbage can. But many of the commenters on re-nest disagreed and said that it would be dirty and stinky – especially since it would be food items going down the chutes.

Someone also pointed out that since the cans were out in the garage, it could be an out of sight-out of mind situation and buildups in the cans would cause a buildup in the chute, resulting in a potentially gross mess. But when you have other garbage cans throughout your home that need to be emptied, and a regular weekly or biweekly pickup – what are the chances of this happening often?

Today on Apartment Therapy, they’re featuring a mid-century house tour of artist Kelly Reemsten’s LA apartment. In addition to loads of iconic mid-century designs and vibrant colors, Reemstem has a whole wall of modern classic chairs arranged in a large tiled display. The paintings of the classic chairs are done by Kelly herself.

It seems as soon as November 1st hits, preparations for the winter holidays begins. Talks of Thanksgiving, Hanukkah and Christmas fill the air – and the stores. With all this mention of the holidays, it’s also becomes time to think about where you’ll spend the holidays. If you’re entertaining friends and family at your house this upcoming season, you have plenty of time to start planning the details, such as your tablescape.

Here at Inmod, it’s a dismal rainyday with lots of wind, so we were inspired to find some cozy items to cheer us up and keep us warm.

First up is the Longwool Single Pelt Rug, which is used in the photo as a throw. How nice would it be to cozy up to that, or to the Fox Faux Fur Throw in the next photo?
